Kapil Sibal (born 8 August 1948in Jalandhar Punjab ) is a politician belonging to the Indian National Congress party. A lawyer, he served at the helm of various ministries in the Congress-led UPA government over the years. After his schooling from St John's High School, he joined St. Stephen's college, University of Delhi, he earned his LL.B degree from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and later an M.A. in history. He joined the bar association in 1972.[5] In the year 1973, he qualified for Indian Administrative Services and was offered an appointment.[6] But he declined the offer and decided to set up his own law practice.[6] Afterwards, he attended the Harvard Law School where he enrolled for an LL.M. which he completed in 1977.[7]
Apart from one of the TOP Lawyer of India Mr Kapil Sibal is an accomplished Poet nad writes frequently and many of his songs have been taken in Bollywood Films.
International Melody Foundation organized am evening of Kapil Sibals Poetry along with the Music Director Lalit Pandit from Bombay who composed the songs of Kapil Sibal and were sung . His Excellency PiotrKlodkowski Ambassador of Poland in India who is also a Good Poet of Hindi was invited as Guest of Honour .
